We have lots of men as members too! This picture is from a bouquet making class - which apparently appealed to the women!
Membership
Are you in Northeast Ohio and want to join other dahlia enthusiasts? Then the Dahlia Society of Ohio (DSO) is the place for you!
Memberships run May-April.
We have two options, a single membership or a household membership.
Membership Perks include:
Member Meetings: The DSO hosts a minimum of six meetings during the year. Currently, these meetings are via Zoom and we do hold in person social events.
Tuber Sales: There is a tuber sale and a plant sale in the spring every year. It's a great opportunity to get your hands on more dahlias and grow your garden.
Dahlia Shows: There are a number of competitions in the area that members participate in to show their dahlias. It's a great way to learn more about American Dahlia Society classifications and the various forms and sizes of dahlias.
Judging Seminars: With every dahlia show comes the need to have judges who will score the entries based on the guidelines provided by American Dahlia Society. These seminars will teach anyone who wants to learn the basics of judging.
You can also join by mailing us a membership form along with a check (instructions are on the form for you).
American Dahlia Society (ADS) Memberships
DSO is a participating member of the ADS. We encourage DSO members to also join the ADS.

Dahlia Classification system - learn how dahlias are classified by form, size and color.
