She says:

“I’m Galena Berkompas and I live out in the PNW in Washington State with my husband and four children on 6 acres. I fell in love with dahlias back in 2020 with about 150 plants… and well, that number only increased with every year. Dahlias started out as a passionate hobby for me, and quickly turned into a business as well.

Currently, I grow 5000 plants, and over 500 varieties but I already plan to double that number in 2025. My goal is to grow and send out the healthiest dahlias that I possibly can and help find and propagate rarer varieties so that more people can experience their beauty and to that end, our farm holds a tuber sale at the beginning of every year.

As a flower farm, I grow thousands of other flowers through the year, but dahlias are definitely the star in summer and fall and I’m excited to share more about how I grow and nurture these beautiful flowers”.
