June 18, 7pm Zoom Meeting

Ann Budziak, Director of Arboretum Horticulture, with Holden Forests and Gardens, will tell us about Rain Gardens—Working Hard While Looking Good” at our June 18, 7 p.m. ZOOM meeting.

She started at Holden as a volunteer in 1997 and spent several years working as a conservation seasonal while earning her B.A. in Environmental Studies from Hiram College after which she was hired permanently in 2008 as the Horticulturist for the Myrtle S. Holden Wildflower Garden. She notes that rain gardens clean and infiltrate storm water as well as offer landscape beauty. Her program covers the benefits of rain gardens and how to properly site, select plants for, and install one on a residential lot.
